Not only will you live in superb accommodations with exquisite amenities, you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to maintenance. SouthView Gables apartment homes overlook the serene SouthView Country Club golf course. You will conveniently live within minutes from the famous Mall of America.
SouthView Gables apartment homes are inclusive. All rents include heat, in-home washer/dryer, and one underground heated parking stall. Some of the amenities include built-in microwaves, wood shelving in all closets, extra storage, access to a fitness center, walking paths, and much more. "
However there is much more to Southview Gables that they don't tell you when you move in.

Just a few things you should know!

  • Only $150 of your $300 Deposit is refundable
  • Expect $85 to $150 a month Elec. Bills
  • Build-in Microwaves are old, don't have carousels and takes for ever to cook anything
  • Dryers don't work well because of age and cost a fortune to run
  • Most Air Condition Units are old and are not energy efficient.
  • The Staff will not work with you to resolve an issue and will not admit when they are wrong even when proven in a court of law.
  • Fitness Center is too small for 400+ apartments
  • They will not fix things until a whole building gets in an uproar. See this example
  • They Violate their own lease and State Laws.
  • The Manager and Assistant Manger only work Mon-Fri till 5 pm and will not stay late to discuss any problems or issues you may have. If you need to speak to them you have to take off work to do so.
  • Their web site states "Ample off-street open parking" This is not entirely true If you have more then one car or have any guests they must park at club house or street

I am usually not the type of person to complain except when I have been done wrong. I moved in to Southview Gables in March of 2006 and in December of 2008 they accused my of not paying my August 2007 rent and Threatened to Evict me unless I paid or showed proof of payment. When I showed them the proof they told me it was not good enough and that they need payment or were going to file eviction.
